Audiological Research Project 614

Students undertake a research project under the supervision of an academic or audiological professional approved by the course co-ordinator. The project occupies time equivalent to that devoted to a six-point semester unit. The research project forms an integral part of the master's programme. Students conduct research in one of the following fields: (i) physiology or psychoacoustics of hearing; (ii) epidemiology of hearing loss; (iii) the sociological consequences of hearing impairment; (iv) treatment strategies of hearing impairment; and (v) audiological practice in the community or workplace. Projects are chosen by the student in collaboration with an accredited supervisor and are undertaken after submission of a research plan to the course controller as well as a presentation of a seminar.
The project includes self-paced work, a literature review, a seminar before and after the project and a written mini thesis. Unit Co-ordinator: Dr R. B. Patuzzi. Prerequisites: all other units
We would like to thank our sponsors Widex Australia for supporting our student research projects
