Audiological Practice Management 613

Having theoretical knowledge is not sufficient to function as an effective professional audiologist. It is necessary that modern clinical audiologists know how to apply that knowledge ethically and within the standards of various organisations that impact on the field of audiology. This unit will familiarise students with the ethics, standards and practices of audiology in Australia, as well as prepare them for clinical practice with ancillary skills such as financial management, database management, computer skills, inventory control and practices in the health sector environment.
Lectures and labs: invited speaker seminar series and self-paced assignments Unit Co-ordinator: Dr R. B. Patuzzi Prerequisites: nil, although first semester units are highly recommended |
